This project started it all for me. In 2012, a friend of mine referred me to a small group of local do-gooders who needed an event identity for a fundraiser — Rock-A-Belly. This fundraising event was not for your usual non-profit — there was something different here. This group called Food for Thought Denver was feeding hungry school kids on the weekends at two schools one food bag at a time using a 100% volunteer base of community members. Today, I sit on their executive board and we’re now distributing weekend food bags to over 53 schools in the Denver Metro area. That’s about 7,500 bags a week! It’s truly a labor of love.
